Cent Sports was developed by a group of individuals at Texas A&M. The group contains a mix of college students and profesors. It was originally just a fun project, but it has turned into a real business. This is due to the large number of people joining Cent Sports.
They started it to get past the legislation that passed in 2006 that made it illegal for online betting sites to accept deposits. Since you can't deposit money, but are given it for free, Cent Sports is a legal free alternative to conventional betting.
